Elder Mulks sent a letter to Myrna and Bob and told them when he got to Peterstown, there was a family of seven and another person ready for baptism that he would get to be a part of!

Hey, all!
How are things going?(this is not a rhetorical question) Everything is going pretty great here. It's stopped snowing, and it's finally started to melt! YAY!
Well, if you haven't guessed, this is my new e-mail address. The church has teamed up with Google to make mailing easier for us missionaries.
Now to the week!!!!!!!!!!!
About the only interesting that happened was that we had Zone Conference. It was very good. President Thornock and Sis. Thornock, the AP's and the ZL's did a wonderful job. They focused a lot on how to most effectively study so that we can teach to the benefit of the investigator. And so that they can understand with more clarity.
Well, I hope that everything is going well. Ya'll are in my prayers.

The new e-mail is up and running!
YAY! This was a pain of a process. The church has teemed up with google to make the e-mail easer. But this is my new e-mail(even if you mail to the old one, it will still go here). Our p-day got pushed back to today (Wednesday) because of Zone Conference. It will be back to normal next week.
* my new comp is Elder W. He served in Martinsville 1 year ago.
* we cover about 7 towns in our area. All of which are TINY.
* I got to know the branch in 1 week. ALL OF THEM!
* Our mission will be absorbing part of a neighboring mission come
July. So we will be in more of Ohio and Kentucky. We get 22 new
missionaries.

The snow has stopped and it has mostly melted. Now it's really muddy! Yuck! Our ZC was really awesome! We have a renewed inspiration. Our goal for the next month, is to loan 40 copies of the BoM. Thats a whole box. Our ZL's think that's too high, but we have the faith. And when we do, the whole zone can't not be inspired to loan copies of the BoM. After all, it's Peterstown! TINY TINY TINY!!!!!

Hope everything's going well! Things are crazy here in Martinsville! WE HAD MORE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's INSANE!!!! We were snowed in all of Fri. and most of Sat....NO FUN!! Especially when your companion is sick. Sun. I felt like garbage! Man, i had a high temp., ached, felt sick to my stomach(only a little). This week was no fun at all...Pretty much nothing happened...
But, in other news...I'M GETTING TRANSFERED!!! YAY...and NOOOO!! I love this area...we get fed really well. . . and I'm going to THE most stix part of the mission...Philippi...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY up in the hills...where, apparently, they still practice witchcraft! Yea, one of the members was kind enough to tell me that before I get out there...so now I'm kinda freaked out...but the Lord knows where i need to be, so I'll get over it!
Well, i hope that your weeks all go well and that you all stay safe!

-The snow cleared up by Sun. so we got to go to sacrament.
-Yes, transfers are this week. I'll be going to Philippi(I think thats how you spell it) WV. WAAAAAY up in the hills from what I hear. I just hope that theres a Wal-mart! My new comp. will be Elder H.(i think thats how to spell it)
-I haven't gotten the backpack, but I did get the yoli and the other stuff that came with it. The really funny thing is, is that i JUST got some Masala seasoning the day before the package got here. And unfortunately, I wont get a chance to use the simmer sause.
-It's really good. Though, it really needs to be put in the right amount of water. The Kor bottle's just too big for that, but it's perfect for truth.
-Yea, while you've been getting an early spring, we've been getting an amount of snow that they haven't gotten for 15 YEARS!!!!
-Not, again! Gosh, at least it's reparable, and not obscenely expensive.(speaking about our septic repairs)
-That is sad to hear about B. He doesn't realize what he's missing out on!
-Yea, we are still having meals with members. nothing too exiting though. Except for that on sat. we will be having an investigator and his wife-to-be feed us...I just wish that I could be here for it.
-everything is going pretty well.
-Hmmmm...surprise me(but not too much, i don't want to scare my new comp.)when asked what he'd like for Valentine's Day)

Groundhog's Day
Hey hey hey!
How's everyone doing? Things are good out here in VA...that is, EXCEPT FOR THE FREAKING SNOW!!!!!! We had another FOOT of snow over the weekend! And expecting some more today!! And over THIS weekend!!!
That's about all the excitement this week...oh, and I found out that you can make ice cream out of snow! It's really good!

Things are progressing slowly out here...we had another foot of snow on the weekend and expecting more today and this weekend!
-Good plan, dad might just go at it with a spoon! (the jalapeño jelly Billy sent us)
-no, didn't have enough. (Milk to take away the burn on his hands)
-Lucky! We didn't even have Church! I'm in Nehemiah right now. (responding about us being lucky to have a great Stake Conference)
-Yea, Ahsha sent me a picture with her and the gang. (in a photo of his desk, Billy has a picture of friends on the wall)
-NO, I haven't got any mail or packages in the past 3-4 days...(we've sent two packages lately which he should get any day)

You actually get a newsletter this week!!!!1! lol YAY for you!
This week has been pretty slow lately. We haven't been able to teach many investigators. But we have been able to get into some less-active people???s homes. But, Tues. was by far the most interesting day???I made Jalapeño jelly! ITS AWESOME!!!! Seriously, it really is good! But the bad part is that I handled the peppers w/o gloves!(I know, smart right?) so all of the next morning (starting with my shower) my hands felt like they were on fire, literally! I tried everything to make it go away, but everything made it worse! Eventually I just ended up studying and falling asleep while doing so(bad Elder Mulks) but the burning went away, so I was VERY thankful for that tender mercy of the Lord. But other than that, not much happened???sadly.
Well, hope you enjoyed my story of pain!

Hey Mom!
Things are going pretty slow lately. Elder R'??s been feeling yucky lately, so that limits us in our finding efforts. But we???ve been doing well when it comes to LA(less active) work. We???ve just met a new LA family and we are planning on going over to visit them this week.
-heh, thanks. Yea, in the how-to (calligraphy) book, it gives instructions for leftys and you have to do it upside-down! Crazy!
I???ve finished my first crochet project, a scarf! I???ll be using it until Ahsha sends me the one she is making. And I???ll probably send this one home.
-yea, the DPF(digital picture frame) got here, it???s so cool! I???m about 1/3rd the way through it so far(???Miracle of Forgiveness book???). Really enlightening! YAY sguishy bowls!!! NEW YOLI FUN?!?!!? (Yoli Fun is the latest blast drink soon to be on the market)ALREADY!?!?!!?!?! Wow. Sounds good! (Billy has been drinking Yoli Health Blast beverages his entire mission and has not been sick - both of his companions have had illness)
-ah, yes, I thought that I said something about it, (ugly tie from Uncle Jim) but I guess not???it is pretty ugly, but its not the ugliest tie I???ve ever seen. It???s up there though!
-Slacks are working great. YAY!!!! MISSIONARY BACKPACK!!!!!! I L OVE YOU!!!!(and it???s not conditional on the backpack). That should be alright. (mailed backpack to mission home) Transfers are the second week in Feb.

Hey All:
How goes everything? All is well here in Martinsville (yes, I???m still here)! Though things are progressing slower than we???d like, they are still progressing. I forgot my old planner(sorry Johan), but I will do my best to fill you in on what's happened.
We had a baptism on Saturday. It went great. The girl we baptized is very strong in her testimony. I love to see new converts, they just have such a strong spirit!
Besides that, we???ve been doing a lot of door knocking. The weather has let up a little too. We got a little bit of rain, but it???s been heating up. It was in the low 50???s yesterday. And this morning it???s in the high 40???s! I don???t have any good stories to tell today though, so you???ll have to wait till next week to see if I do.
We also had zone conference last week. It was GREAT! I was so charged up afterwards! They gave us some great tools too!
Well, that???s about all that???s happened these past couple of weeks, pretty uneventful.

In my personal email from Elder Mulks, he said: It's been slow finding but we've been doing a lot of less-active member work. So, at least we are doing something. In fact, we're going to a less active member's house and she's gonna teach us how to crochet!
The mission is great. The work, though slow, is awesome! Elder R. is a great missionary!
Billy was glad we didn't have roof damage due to the storm - we wouldn't have to call Kyle over to fix it!
Elder Mulks received the packages I sent and thanked me. He's hoping the squishy bowl set from "Think Geek" will arrive someday. (It's been on delay since November!)
We just baptized one of our investigators - Sierra W. She's great. Me and Elder I. started teaching her and me and Elder R. baptized her. I'll mail Happy Birthdays to Scott, Uncle Jim and Auntie Moo.
We had a member fix us curry a couple of nights ago, it was sooooooooo good!
Woot! Mormon Mayor!!! Yay! (I let Billy know that Tom Nelson is the new Mayor of Lacey and he is LDS)
!(o.o)! (o.o) - momma luvs me! (I told Billy next time he looks in the mirror to say to himself: "Mom loves me"!

Sorry to have skipped last weeks' newsletter, but stuff came up. Guess what?!?! I???m also having to skip this week????s! yeh, isn???t that awesome!? JK??? (just kidding) about it being awesome. Things have just been crazy these past few weeks.
But that will have to do ya for now! GOMENASAI!!!!! (Sorry)

We received a short paragraph this week - main message to share is that Elder Mulks really likes his new companion and that they get along great!
